The
annual senior art contest, sponsored by the Berks County Office Of Aging and Berks County
Parks & Recreation Department was recently conducted at Gring's Mill Recreation Area
in conjunction with Celebration Of Music & The Arts.
The judging was in six categories. First prize winners in the various
categories were as follows:

Cash prizes were awarded to the winners and the art is now on dislay at the Berks
County Office Of Aging for one year.
Barbara Coffin, Executive Director of the Berks County Office Of Aging, states:
"talent and a zest for being creative abounds in our Berks County seniors. We
are delighted that there were 110 entries in the contest - the most ever!" The
general public is cordially invited to view the artworks at the Office Of Aging, County
Services Center, 633 Court St, 8th Floor, Reading; Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm. Parking is
available at the Reading Parking Authority lots at Reed & Court Street or Walnut &
Poplar Streets.
