The Berks County Senior Citizens Council offers a wide variety of programs and activities.  We hold events daily, Monday thru Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for seniors to participate in. Friendships are formed among staff and participants which provide a safe, secure environment. The Senior Center allows seniors to remain active and gain knowledge through health topics, consumer issues, exercise, crafts, and musical programs.  Participants also have a great opportunity for socialization through events such as shooting pool, playing cards, bingo, singing in the Chorus or playing in the Orchestra at the Berks County Senior Citizens Council.   Seniors can enjoy all of these programs with a membership of only $5 per year.   Providence House, which is located at 8th and Court Streets, provides nutritious meals for seniors to enjoy at breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
